VAT
We are pleased to offer the members of Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce a free meeting with our VAT specialist Andy White. VAT continues to grow in complexity and businesses are exposed to a series of penalties if they get it wrong. We are offering members a free initial meeting to discuss how VAT affects their business. The meeting will be up to 1 hour in length and will be held at our Bearsden office. During the meeting we will try to identify opportunities for making VAT savings and improving compliance with the regulations.
We will also be happy to assist members to resolve any VAT queries or problems. This time would normally be chargeable. However, we work on the basis that if a client asks us for assistance we always give an estimate of the cost upfront and agree this with the client before work commences.
PAYE
We would also be pleased to offer members a free 1 hour meeting with our PAYE specialist Alasdair Sinclair. This would take the form of advice regarding main areas of attack by HM Revenue Customs (Inland Revenue), and what you should do to comply with the increasingly complicated legislation, and possible tips to cut down on your workload. This will not be a detailed review of PAYE compliance records and procedures, but we will undertake a detailed PAYE health check for an agreed fee. The detailed check is designed to identify areas of weakness within your systems and to correct these before the Revenue PAYE compliance officers visit you. Remember, the average take in back taxes, as a result of a PAYE compliance visit, is £6,000.
