Various locations and marquees in Milngavie Town Centre

Prices vary

The festival, now in its third year, is a feature in the calendar for many in Milngavie and beyond. Over six days, the town centre comes alive with author events, art in the village, music, stalls and rambler walks.

More than 1,000 schoolchildren attend author sessions during the week and around the same number enjoy author events ranging from afternoon tea to a fish, chip and champagne supper evening.

You can drop in to the art marquee every day and watch a celebrated artist such as Katherine Kubrick, at work.

The Milngavie Ramblers start their fascinating walks from the West Highland Way marquee (with stalls and a fantastic photographic exhibition) regardless of the weather.

Put these dates in your diary now and check for updates at www.milngaviefestival.org.uk.

Programmes will be available around mid July.
